The Language Club of White Plains at the International Center for Ethno-Religious Mediation (ICERMediation) is currently seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Part-Time Mandarin Chinese Teachers. We have openings for certified Mandarin Chinese language teachers who can conduct engaging after-school classes for students in grades 3 through 12. Applications are also welcome from individuals currently enrolled in college-level Mandarin Chinese language programs.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct interactive and effective Mandarin Chinese language lessons for students in grades 3 through 12.
2. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
3. Collaborate with the Language Club of White Plains team to develop and enhance curriculum materials.
4. Provide regular feedback on students’ progress and maintain open communication with parents.

Qualifications:

1. Certification in Mandarin Chinese instruction.
2. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
3. Experience in teaching Mandarin Chinese to students in grades 3 through 12.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
6. Native Mandarin Chinese speakers are highly encouraged to apply.
7. Candidates currently enrolled in a college-level Mandarin Chinese language program can also apply.

Location:

The Language Club of White Plains conducts in-person Mandarin Chinese lessons in White Plains, New York. Therefore, applicants should be local or willing to commute to this location.

Schedule:

Mandarin Chinese Teachers must be available to teach after-school and Saturday Mandarin Chinese classes in White Plains, New York. Specific compensation and weekly schedules will be discussed during the interview process.
