The International Center for Ethno-Religious Mediation (ICERMediation) – Nigeria is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Program Officer for Technology and Marketing. As a Program Officer, you will play a crucial role in utilizing ICERMediation’s social media-like technology of nonviolence and mobile app to implement innovative programs focused on conflict resolution, reconciliation, and cultural preservation.

Responsibilities:

1. Creation of Living Together Movement Chapters: Establishing chapters in Cities, Towns, Villages, Secondary Schools, and Tertiary Education Institutions across Nigeria to provide a secure space for meaningful encounters fostering civic engagement and collective action.
2. Creation of Virtual Indigenous Kingdoms: Helping users create online groups on ICERMediation to connect indigenous communities in Nigeria, enabling them to share and safeguard their rich cultures, traditions, languages, customs, spiritualities, and histories.
3. Language Club: Establishing a Language Club to provide an enriching language learning experience for the children of Nigerians in the diaspora, promoting cultural understanding by partnering with Nigerian languages teachers.
4. ICERMediation Multi-Vendor Marketplace Expansion: Expanding the ICERMediation Multi-Vendor Marketplace to Nigerian cities and towns, facilitating the buying and selling of physical and digital products, services, and used items to support economic growth and decrease unemployment and poverty with the belief that economic growth creates the conditions for peace and peace is good for the economy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in information technology, marketing, or communication.
• Two years plus of consistent experience in using information technology and social media to address social problems in Nigeria.
• Experience in conflict resolution, dialogue, grassroots organizing, campaigns, cultural heritage preservation, and marketing.
• Experience working with traditional rulers and a good knowledge of Nigerian cultures and ethnic groups.
