Peace Agreement between the Ethiopian Government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF)

Peace Agreement Ethiopia scaled

During the signing of the peace agreement they reached on November 2, 2022 in Pretoria, South Africa through the mediation of the African Union led by a former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo.

The  International Center for Ethno-Religious Mediation (ICERMediation) congratulates the Ethiopian people for taking a bold decision to end the 2-year war between the Ethiopian government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF).

We encourage the leaders to work together to implement the peace agreement they signed yesterday, November 2, 2022 in South Africa through the mediation of the African Union led by a former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Earlier this year, ICERMediation hosted two important panel discussions with Ethiopian experts. We demanded that the Ethiopian government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) end the war and resolve their dispute peacefully through mediation.

We are happy that the war has ended through mediation and the goodwill of the parties.

Now is the time to bring the Ethiopian citizens together for national reconciliation. ICERMediation hopes to contribute to the national reconciliation programs by establishing Living Together Movement chapters in different Ethiopian cities and university campuses.
